Lecture Summary

This talk recognizes that cancer care and support is delivered in wonderful diverse world of people and creatures. It also recognizes these differences, how they might be expressed and what we can learn from one another. Alongside this reality, is the common bond of all, our humanity and how that links us together. Recognizing that we do not always deliver cancer care and support within a just and fair society, the talk suggests some ways to engage with this reality, and ways that the cancer team can respond to those who may feel excluded from the team and from cancer services. The talk invites each member of the team to consider how they can continue to respond, in order to make the support and services within the context of cancer, more inclusive and more welcoming to all.
