Lecture Summary

This short talk will explore the rationale and benefits for embedding a Geriatric Medical Oncology service alongside an existing Medical Oncology service with a view to assess older adults’ level of frailty and how this can influence SACT treatment decision between the Medical Oncologist and the patient. The aims of geriatric oncology screening and assessments will be discussed. The talk also shares the current consultative geriatric oncology service in operation at a large oncology centre in the United Kingdom.
