Lecture Summary

Sepsis is a major global challenge that is associated with millions of deaths each year. The emerging global threat of antimicrobial resistance will significantly impact on the ability to effectively treat infections and will contribute to significant excess mortality. This lecture discusses how both sepsis and antimicrobial stewardship can be implemented together to ensure that there is judicious use of antimicrobials while effectively managing patients with sepsis.
