Lecture Summary

Resilience regards the process where clinicians show effective adaptation, despite the experience of adverse work-related phenomena and severe stress. It is a personality trait resulting from one’s inherent protective factors, such as functional coping skills and positive self-esteem. Moreover, resilience results from external protective factors, such as supportive familial and social networks, adequate social capital, and easy access to integrative mental health services.
