Lecture Summary

Sepsis identification and treatment are challenging, especially in resource-limited low- and middle-income countries. Although there is an international sepsis management guideline available, some adjustment for its application is needed to suit the limitation of each setting. The emergency department is the first contact point for sepsis patients who need urgent management. However, many common pitfalls may easily happen, especially in the overcrowded ED. The talk is to highlight the common pitfalls of sepsis management, especially in the overcrowded emergency department.
