Ben Moran is a dual-qualified specialist in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia at Gosford Hospital, NSW, Australia. His clinical interests include long-term outcomes of critically ill patients, acute pain and sedation management in the ICU, perioperative management of high-risk patients, acute pain management of post-operative patients and high-risk anaesthesia. As an adjunct to his research, Ben is currently completing a dual Masters of Biostatistics and Masters of Clinical Epidemiology.

Ben is currently completing a PhD under the supervision of Professor John Myburgh AO investigating the incidence, risk factors and impact of chronic pain in survivors of intensive care. Other research interests include analgesia, sedation and delirium management in the ICU, long-term physical and neuropsychological outcomes of critical illness and statistical methodology in observational trials.
