Associate Professor Gerard O’Reilly is a senior emergency physician based at The Alfred and Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Since completing his Emergency Medicine specialisation, Gerard has completed a Master in Public Health, Master in Biostatistics and a PhD. Gerard has authored more than 130 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. His areas of interest include global emergency care, emergency and trauma care systems, registries and quality improvement. Gerard has worked, with local partners, to facilitate emergency and trauma care system capacity development in Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam and Myanmar. Gerard has taught and mentored clinical biostatistics to emergency clinicians for more than  a decade.
