Dr Cronin trained as an emergency physician at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia and on the Irish Emergency Medicine Training Program. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. He has a strong interest in research and currently chairs the Audit and Research Committee. He also runs the registrar teaching programme for the department.
