Leon Sanchez

Associate Professor & Chief of Emergency Medicine, Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed his internship in internal medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center and his residency in emergency medicine at Jacobi Medical Center/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

Dr. Sánchez has a lengthy list of research projects that he has both completed and continues to work on that have traditionally focused on emergency care and also serves on the editorial boards for the International Journal of Emergency Medicine and Internal and Emergency Medicine.

He grew up in Puerto Rico until he moved to Cambridge to attend Harvard for college. He has been back in Cambridge for the last six years.
