Mike is Professor and specialist in Emergency Medicine, at the University of Otago and Christchurch Hospital, Christchurch, New Zealand.

He is a fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine and has a PhD in Bioethics, with his thesis exploring decision making in resuscitation.

In addition, he is the lead for the first iteration of Hospital HealthPathways, a clinical guidance platform for hospital clinicians with sites now live in a number of other sites in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
