Dr. Ramesh Venkataraman is American Board certified in Critical Care Medicine and is a Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP), American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) and Indian College of Critical Care Medicine (FICCM). He is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He has completed a postdoctoral certification in clinical education and has a special interest in simulation-based education.

Since 2007, he has been an active educator for the ISCCM and is one of the core organizers for Chennai Chapter’s highly sought-after mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring and refresher courses. He has been an examiner for IDCCM and IFCCM examinations and a regular faculty in ISCCM national conferences. He is involved in the development of the 4C and the Critical Care Infectious Disease courses created by the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine. He is also currently the Associate Editor of the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine and Secretary for the Indian College in Critical Care Medicine. His areas of interest include ARDS ventilation, Cardiorespiratory physiology, Critical Care Nephrology and Critical Care Education.
