Swagata Tripathy is an Associate Professor with All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar, in Odisha, India. She has completed a clinical fellowship at the Walton Centre of Neurosciences in Liverpool.

Passionate about providing holistic and affordable critical care to economically deprived patients in her part of the country, she has been the lead among a team of other health care workers to understand patient and family experiences of ICU and to implement co-designed- family-led interventions to facilitate discharge from ICU for long term chronically ill critical care patients. This is also the focus of her PhD. She is presently a collaborator and regional lead for the Indian Registry in Intensive Care- part of Wellcome-MORU’s Critical Care Asia.
